Air Purification

Residential & Commercial Air Purification Products

Bacteria, toxic gases, mold, viruses. They aren’t just words, they’re airborne particles in your home or business—and you’re breathing them. Poor indoor air quality adversely affects the human respiratory tract, triggering asthma and allergic reactions while potentially exposing occupants to pathogenic infections that can have serious long term health effects. That’s why we’re constantly telling our customers about the benefits of a HealthWay air cleaning unit. Aside from a reduction in asthma and allergy symptoms, healthy indoor air means less dust, less cleaning, and an overall improvement in the well being of occupants. HealthWay’s Disinfecting Filtration System (DFS) is the most advanced air filtration system in the world, using technology developed through a government grant to fight germ warfare. DFS technology captures 99.99% of pollutants, including superfine particles as small as .007 microns. All Healthway products feature multiple stages of filtration and a germicidal kill zone that removes:

  • Bacteria
  • Dander, dust and dust mites
  • Fungi
  • Mold
  • Pollen
  • Viruses
  • Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s)

HEPA vs. HealthWay

  • HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air): HEPA is the government standard for indoor air filtration. HEPA is not 100% effective at capturing particles as small as 0.3 microns and has limited ability against microorganisms and volatile organic compounds (VOC’s). A clogged HEPA-approved filter can actually re-release microbes back into the air.
  • HealthWay DFS: captures 99.99% of bacteria, viruses and VOC’s; inhibits growth or reproduction capacity of microorganisms; and captures superfine particles as small as .007 microns, 40 times smaller than HEPA’s capacity.

Residential Air Purification Products

It’s estimated that we spend almost 90% of our time indoors. How much of that time do you think is spent inside your home? Probably the majority of it. Long winter months spent inside with little recourse to fresh air means extended exposure to the contaminants plaguing your indoor air. Spring time brings pollen and the onset of allergy season, giving many people yet another reason to keep the doors and windows closed. When summer arrives, those of us with air conditioning keep the heat out by keeping our doors and windows closed. Duct work attached to an air handling system can literally accumulate pounds of dust and debris that’s re-introduced into the air. HealthWay’s line of residential products include a compact tabletop unit designed for bedrooms or small office spaces; the portable HW Deluxe, capable of treating 1,500 square feet; and the Super-V, a whole house air purification system that simply attaches to your furnace’s blower, providing clean, fresh air to every room in the house.

Commercial Air Purification Products

You might not see it, but if your office building or other indoor work space suffers from poor indoor air quality, its occupants will feel it—and chances are, the quality of their work will suffer. Factors leading to poor indoor air in the work environment go beyond underperforming air handling systems or poor ventilation. Harmful chemicals and gases released from virtually thousands of products found in manufacturing and office environments can have a harmful effect on employees. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) found that “poor indoor air may cost the nation tens of billions of dollars each year in lost productivity and medical care.” With an estimated 8-10% decrease in productivity in workplaces suffering from poor indoor air quality, it’s a problem that affects millions of employees each year. A 2014 Harvard School of Public Health double-blind study concluded that “high CO2 and volatile organic compound levels (found in most conventional buildings) have direct negative impacts on thinking and decision making (cognitive ability).”

While innovations in the construction industry have yet to adequately address the issue, HealthWay has the solution. Our commercial air cleaning systems are equipped with the most advanced air purification technology in the world and are currently used worldwide in hospital isolation rooms, medical and manufacturing clean rooms, schools and universities, military applications, and hotels and resorts. HealthWay’s commercial air cleaners improve the comfort of guests, patients and employees, increase students’ ability to focus, and maintain employee health, comfort, and productivity. Not only are our commercial air cleaners highly energy efficient, they’re also expandable to adapt to any air handling system or air flow capacity.
